On the 28th of September the boys year 6 football team had a tournament at Wide Lane.

With confidence, we went on to our first game and Sam scored a cheeky little goal, and we came away with a 1-0 win. On our second game, we managed to win 2-0. We felt good and we went on and won one more. Our luck came to an end when we drew 1-1 and lost another game 1-0. Unfortunately, we came joint 1st in our group but that wasn’t enough to go through.

At the end of the tournament Sam scored 3, Charlie 1 and Tom 1.

On the 29th, the girls team we went to Holy Family school and played against two teams, Fairisle and Holy Family.

We had a tournament game before against Fairisle and we lost 2-0. But yesterday was different! We hadn't got off to a great start against Fairisle, losing 1-0 at half time. However Molly our striker scored us an amazing equaliser! Suddenly, out of no where, Poppy came in with an astonishing goal which luckily won us the game! Everybody was so exited and happy that we had finally beat Fairisle! But now was not the time to celebrate as we had another game ahead of us...Holy family!

It wasn't as hard as the game against Fairisle but this was their first real match. We started off in the first half and suddenly, out of no where, Lola came in with a cracking goal! Taking us up to 1-0! After that the half ended and we all cheered in joy. In the second half it seemed like Holy Family just entered a whole new level! They kicked it up a notch and added a bit of a spicy challenge. Holy Family nearly scored but luckily they didn't because of our 2 amazing goalies (Gabi and Jess) and with the help of the 2 defenders (Charlotte and Megan). However an amazing goal from Rose meant we went up to an amazing score of 2-0! After all of that stress and sweat we won both of our rounds and we were all very, very happy. :D
