There are a number of independently run clubs available to children at Abbotswood Juniors School.
Music Tuition
We offer small group tuition for Brass, Flute, Violin, Clarinet and Keyboard.
The cost of instrumental tuition is heavily subsidised.
The parental contribution towards the cost of the lessons for the period from September to July in any year will be £150, to be paid in advance.
We expect that pupils will practise regularly, attend lessons regularly and celebrate thier progress by joining Band on Thursday lunchtimes and playing in assemblies. Pupils will receive a minimum of 10 lessons per term. It will be necessary for your son/daughter to miss part of a normal lesson in order to attend their music lesson.
You must notify us in writing if your child wishes to stop lessons. The yearly contract means that no refund can be given.
If you would like to book your son/daughter a place please complete the form, which you can obtain by clicking on 'Music Letter' below, and return it to the school office with your cheque.
If you wish to join part way through a year please contact the school office first so we can check whether there are any places available.

Creative Writing Club
How proud would you be to see your work as a fully published book?
Chocolate Muffin Publishing provides the opportunity for children to write and illustrate their own book at after school workshops and holiday workshops at Abbotswood and other schools around Southampton. Children of all ages can also write their own books at home. Our design team will then professionally edit, design, publish and print each amazing storybook. Each book is assigned an ISBN, which means that each child’s book is recognized internationally and can be made available to purchase worldwide.
For more information about forthcoming workshops or home courses please see our website: www.chocolate-muffin.com or contact Claire on chocolate.muffin@yahoo.com
