A group of Abbotswood pupils went to Nanaksar Gurdwara in Southampton to learn all about a Sikh place of worship with Mrs Lavelle, Mr Noyce and Miss Brunt. We had a fantastic time learning all about what Sikh people do when they go to a Gurdwara. We were given a tour and saw the holy book, real examples of the 5 K’s and also the main kitchen area where they cook Langar. We sat down together to eat the Langar which is the special meal they eat to bring people together from the community. It included dahl, roti, pumpkin curry, vegetable curry and rice pudding! It was delicious!
